Long Story Short

They met in Boston over rainy, speakeasy drinks while they were both studying in grad school. That first Christmas, Kyle gave David a gift inspired by their first date conversation: A book they’d discussed with a laminated bookmark of the texts they exchanged after those drinks.

Five and a half years later, David echoed the book gesture in Kyle’s favorite DC bookstore. This time the bookmark had a ring attached.
